Auction Sales

Are held at the Exchange Saleroom every fortnight (see calendar). Items brought to the Saleroom will be automatically entered into the most appropriate sale to achieve their best price.

Antique and Fine Art Auctions
Held five times a year.
A catalogue is produced with detailed descriptions and colour photographs. These sales have international advertising, with items listed on our web site as well as other known antique web sites. We have an active mailing list of specialist buyers and collectors and we contribute to an auction search service that informs its subscribers of items in our sales.

19th Century and Later Auctions
Held every fortnight on a Saturday (except for the week of an Antiques and Fine Arts sale) enabling a high proportion of the general public to attend and includes a wide cross-section of goods from Victorian furniture, china, glass and silver to general household items. The catalogue for these sales also goes on our web site.

Specialist Sales

Collector’s, Toys and Sporting Auction
Held two to three times a year these sales create great interest with private collectors. Like the Antiques sales, they have national advertising in print and on various web sites and we also contribute this sale to the auction search service to advise its subscribers of items in the sale.

Developed over the last few years, we now have a substantial mailing list of buyers and collectors for this fast growing area of specialism. Held three to four times a year, the catalogue for this sale goes on our web site.

Valuations
Our valuations department can provide confidential and professional written inventories for the purposes of insurance, probate or family division whether for a full house or specific items and can be tailored to suit your requirements.

We undertake complete or part house clearances and are handled by our reliable carriers once a valuer has assessed your needs.
